Job Description:
The Mechanical Engineer is primarily responsible
for performing engineering duties in design and
release of mechanical and electromechanical
products and systems for airport tractors
powered by diesel; gasoline, CNG, and pure
electric battery / AC Induction Motor
drivelines. Expect to design and release frames,
axles, suspensions, brakes, steering, wheels,
sheet metal, etc.
Job Responsibilities and Duties:
•Research and analyze data such as customer
design proposal, specifications, and
•Manual to determine feasibility of design or
application
•Engineer products or systems such as
instruments, controls,1 engines, machines, and
mechanical; thermal, hydraulic and heat transfer
systems to ensure they meet best practices and
customer expectations at the lowest cost
•Project management of new vehicle designs and
systems
•Evaluate engineering change requests and
recommends design modifications to
•Eliminate production and assembly difficulties
•Familiarize with the ISO 9001 -2008 Requirements
•Perform directed or assigned duties
Requirements
Education and Experience
•Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
from four-year college or university
•Minimum of 2 years of relative work experience
and/or training in such subjects as: Planetary
drive axles design, Drive steer axle design, AC
traction motor integration into products,
Vehicle designer for air plane Ground support
equipment, Generators, air starts, mobile
stairs, laboratory trucks, water carts, belt
loaders, tractors, heaters, air conditioners
•Experience with working with R&D department,
and final assembly, line to verify engineering
solutions are easily put into production
•Experience with products mentioned in the
overview a plus.
