The successful candidate has a proven record of 
using practical knowledge of fluid dynamics and 
machine design to take design responsibility of 
steam turbine based combined heat and power 
systems.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

·         Performs and documents design and 
sizing calculations of system components

·         Prepares process and instrumentation 
diagrams and maintains equipment design models 
to produce arrangement drawings

·         Designs on-skid mechanical systems 
including but not limited to:

o   Structural steel base

o   Control, throttle and bypass valving

o   Connections between rotating mechanical 
equipment

o   Lubrication and cooling systems

o   Piping and associated components for lube 
oil, cooling water, steam vents and drains

·         Designs mechanical interfaces between 
Turbosteam scope and customer facility including 
but not limited to:

o   Preparation of equipment location drawings 

o   Equipment foundation design

o   Steam and cooling water piping design, 
including stress analyses, support and restraint 
design and preparation of installation drawings

o   Performance testing of installed system

·         Specifies and procures all mechanical 
components

·         Equipment, component and system 
inspection, testing and quality control

·         Preparation of operations and 
maintenance manuals

·         Provide technical input for proposal 
development

·         Support and interface with electrical 
design engineers, project managers, field 
service technicians, and Business Development

 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

·         BS in Mechanical engineering (or 
equivalent design experience)

·         Minimum of 3 years experience in 
designing mechanical installations in industrial 
facilities, including piping systems
