Job Description: |
|
Duties will include the lead technical role
within a small, dynamic engineering group to
conceive and implement designs for advanced
imaging and targeting systems. Field of work is
electro-optical systems using night vision,
thermal imaging and laser devices. The
successful candidate will contribute to system
level architecture, hardware design, software
development and integration of various devices
such as cameras, sensors, GPS subsystems, laser
diodes, miniature displays and communications
devices. The successful candidate will generate
requirements, functional and design
specifications, test plans and other relevant
documentation. The successful candidate will
support the building and testing of prototypes
as well as the sustaining test and evaluation of
production systems.
Position Requirements and Responsibilities:
Minimum of five years experience in the design,
development, and debugging of digital systems in
a low cost, low to moderate volume product
atmosphere
· FPGA Design and programming using VHDL
(Altera Quartus/Nios Experience a Plus)
· Electronic (Digital and Analog) board
level schematic design, component selection, and
PCB Layout guidance
· Embedded processor design and
programming
· ‘C” Language experience
· Strong software skills such as
Simulink/Matlab/Mathematica programming
experience is a plus
· Debugging experience of complex
electronic digital and analog designs
· Video system design and debug
experience
· Ability to interface with
manufacturing as designs transition from
engineering to manufacturing
· Generation of Technical Documentation
to include Test Procedures, Theory of Operation,
and User’s Manuals
· Creation of Test Fixtures
· PC Literacy – including MS Office
· Excellent interpersonal and
