Reporting to the EHS Manager, the positions primary responsibility is to provide environmental, health, and safety leadership for the facility in MA. More specifically, the successful candidate will work with management and workers to ensure the identification and elimination of environmental, health and safety risks. Responsibilities Develops, implements, and maintains programs and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable environmental, health, and safety laws, regulations, and standards. Provides technical guidance, assistance and support to employees in the resolution of environmental, health, and safety issues. Conducts hazard analyses and process safety reviews of manufacturing operations as well as procedures involving the storage, handling, transportation and fire control of hazardous materials. Plans and conducts regular audits and inspections to ensure environmental, health, and safety program effectiveness and compliance. Develops, conducts and coordinates environmental, health, and safety training programs. Develops and maintains environmental, safety and health records. Compiles, analyzes and reports environmental, safety and health data to help identify trends and evaluate safety performance. Performs and reviews accident/incident investigations. Assists Managers and Supervisors in determining accident/incident causes and corrective actions. Follows up to ensure that corrective actions are implemented and effective. Qualifications: B.S./B.A. in Engineering, Safety, Environmental Science or a related field is required. 2 - 3 years working experience in a manufacturing environment Experience in development and implementation of EHS programs for manufacturing organizations is required Familiarity with safety, health and environmental regulations and standards is a must (i.e., OSHA, EPA, DOT, NFPA, ANSI, etc.). Experience with Lean Six Sigma is a plus. Proven track record of project management skills. Excellent interpersonal skills and proven ability to influence organizations and behaviors without having a direct reporting line. Strong verbal and written communication skills are a required.
